Losing Track, A Blue and White Day, The Gift of Smell
1. Our regular schedule was tossed out the window this week and today was an 'anything goes' kind of day. We're in a time warp and we've had three Saturdays in place of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
2. The brilliant sunshine makes up for four days of darkness. Glittering snow blinds my eyes and eventually I must pull down the shade.
3. Tess comes back inside carrying the fresh, clean air on her. I tell her she smells so good, like fresh air. She says she doesn't know what that smells like. I explain that it only happens on brisk, cold days and the person has to be outside for a while to really soak it in. One day I'll try to bring some in for her to sample.
