Waiting for me, Way back when, A guy thing

1. The tried-and-true method to determine if you really want to buy something is when you think about it for weeks afterward with regret for not snatching it up.I returned to an antiques shop where, two weeks ago, I spotted the most adorable little 3" tube pans for baking tiny cakes. I was relieved that they were still there.

2. I rediscovered a box of magazines originally found in the attic of our first home in Saratoga Springs, NY. I like the nostalgia of the art work. The articles sound hokey nowadays, but there are many on being frugal which make me realize things haven't changed all that much.
3. "Monday Night Pool Night" has become a regular for the guys.

  2. Congrats on the baking pan score! I have one of those and I love it. I also love old magazines. We have a lot in common! xxoo

  3. I went back a month later for a purple insulator Kelly liked when we were in an antiques store.

I have a box of old National Geographics. I love the old advertisements. They are works of art.

  4. What a treat--nabbing the pans and finding the old Woman's Day! My husband always gets after me for hoarding magazines, but you just never know when you're going to want to flip through them again (and maybe find gems that were first overlooked). ;)

  5. You know Jayne, that's so true. I've been saving my decorating magazines for years. I have hundreds. Every time I move to a new house, I get the decorating bug and I want to devour decorating magazines. I pull them out and I swear, I do not remember ever seeing them before! I'm doing that now. I have plenty to satisfy me!

  6. Our office had a pool night a few years ago and it was great to look forward to. No one played well but we laughed and enjoyed our time together.
