1. It is called "Tidal Pool" and it reminds me of the color of a Tiffany's box.
2. I push through the job, watching the clock as it takes me longer than expected. Finished just in time!
3. A wonderful, rainy night that deeply soaks the ground.

That which was lost is found, Cooler, Peaceful
1. Audrey opens the glove box and asks, "Whose sunglasses are these?" I exclaim that they are mine!! I've been kicking myself all week, thinking I lost them at the baseball game. (It was a hard loss to swallow because they are prescription bifocals and costly to replace.) This has made my entire day happy.
2. A change in the weather has buoyed my spirits. No air conditioning necessary for the first time in many weeks.
3. It's been a long while since I sat on the porch. Tonight I relax out there with a good book and pretty lights as dusk creeps on.

Remember, Talk to me, Happiness is...
1. Today I've received the second such email in a week from the daughter (and son) of a WWII veteran serving in the 551st Paratroop Infantry Battalion that my dad was in. We children are trying to keep the history intact on our dads' war experiences.
2. Baby, who turned 1 last week, signs several words without prompting. She signs more, drink, dog, all done, and eat. She also learns to point to her nose. One year-olds are so much fun!
3. Audrey runs down the hallway, getting ready for a Rascal Flatts concert. She calls back over her shoulder, " I love my life!".

Ambiance, Study in black, Miss you
1. The wall of paint samples at the home store makes me wish I had a bazillion rooms so I could experience all of the wonderful colors.
2. The dog groomer is crowded with little black models today. They scamper around my feet in a multiplied frenzy.
3. Tess phones me each evening while she is away.

Visitors, Break the routine, Silliness
1. Hummingbirds visit the trumpet vine while I sit on the porch. One samples a few blooms, chirping away. Then she sits on the wire of patio lights, strung throughout the vine. She stays for several minutes, preening her feathers with needle-like beak, listening to the other bird calls and surveying the vine. I imagine her thoughts regarding this place. Does she realize she is in flower paradise or is this simply a cafeteria where she takes her place in line with the bees?
2. Some of the family is away, so my duties are light and I'm free to begin any project I like.
3. Audrey recommends, "A Town Called Panic". What a funny little movie! I particularly like the character's voices.

Help yourself, Red Sox, Refreshed
1. Freshly baked cookies cool in the kitchen. Our guest comes back downstairs for more. I love it when my food makes people happy.
2. The baseball stadium at night. Hot dogs wrapped in white paper are passed down the row; the crowd yells, "Charge!"; the crack of a baseball bat; umpires yell, "Safe!"; cold, refreshing soda with a straw; bright stadium lights; young and old sing, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". Summer.
3. A cool shower just before bed.

Technology, A visitor, Dinner
1. Steve tells me his new Blackberry contains more technology than that which they used to go to the moon. And I tell him that I contain more technology than either one.
2. Chelsea and Chad are off to Floyd Fest, but Audrey brings a friend by and so we have a Sunday afternoon visit after all.
3. Wonderful Chicken Picatta using the organic chicken that Chelsea convinced me to start buying. (Ina Garten's recipe is my favorite one.) BTW, Steve's Blackberry can't make this.
