Detectorists

I absolutely love this program. It's gentle. How often do we find "gentle" on TV these days? The characters are quirky and lovable. Other than Antiques Road Show, it's the only redeemable program worth watching on all of current television, (in my opinion). There are only two seasons available on Netflix and I've already watched them all, so that's a bummer. But, I look forward to more next year.

  1. Yes! We saw this one of the public stations and found it hilarious!
Wish they would show more episodes! I think I remember that the actor pictured above, the thin one, the same one in the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean", that he wrote this series too. I could be wrong, of course.

  2. I've never heard of it but I think "gentle" programming is great. There is so little on TV to watch that I seldom turn it on when I am alone. (I think I saw you in the library the other day, but I only caught a side glance and wasn't sure.)

  3. Well shucks - that must not be streaming on Netflix (I don't have the DVD plan - just streaming.) I'll put it on my mental list to check on.

I'm not married to much of anything on network TV either (although I am hooked on Dancing with the Stars - go figure.) :) And I love Grey's Anatomy. I adored Parenthood when it was on and the new show This is Us (which is from the same producers) just didn't hook me.

    1. Lynn- yes, Netflix has it on streaming. Type in "Detectorists" without the "The" and you'll find it. I made that mistake.
