1. Birds have left cherry pits along the garden fence. A telltale sign that the cherries are ripe.
2. After careful thought, I put the Target gift card to good use on gardening items. The absolute best thing I bought are the rubber Sloggers. No more wet feet!
3. Crossing the bucolic campus of Hollins University loses a bit of it's appeal in 96° temperatures. But once we enter Talmadge Recital Hall with its polished wood paneling and air conditioning, I am revived. Tess can practice all she needs and I'll just sit here...
My parents had a cherry tree and the birds got most of the cherries every year, no fail. I have never heard of sloggers! They look great! It is really hot where you are. I would have no energy in that kind of heat!! xxoo
