I love vintage linens and small cotton tablecloths make perfect curtains. I recently bought this one on ebay to replace my old one that had become worn after 8 years. One, quick seam and it's done! In the center photo you'll see a tiny name tag in red lettering sewn onto the corner of the tablecloth. Vintage comes with a history.
That is quite lovely, and an excellent reuse! I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteThat is good, old-fashioned American ingenuity. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful. I love old things including vintage linens. That one is in great shape, to be so white and flawless. And I love turning old linens into curtains. I can't sew though. Use Stitch-witch a lot. My favorite old fabrics are bark cloth and chenille.
