Rain, Rain, Both right and wrong

1. The rain comes in the night and sounds so beautiful.
2. The day is gray and rainy, casting a subdued atmosphere over all. Sometimes I just really like these kinds of days.
3. Little ones recite their multiplication tables for 2's with pride. When asked to write the numbers, most of them reverse all the double digit numbers so that 12 becomes 21. It looks like this: 2, 4, 6, 8, 01 ,21, 41, 61, 81.

  1. We need the rain here. It's been a very dry summer. My middle son is dyslexic and always got his numbers backwards.

  2. I hope the rains come your way, Marie. I took this reversal of numbers as something common when first graders are first learning to write them. My daughters did this for a year or two. I would feel bad if a child were struggling to learn.
