Saturday's child, Fair Exchange, The Right Kind of Dough

1. Daughter #3 turns 19 today! She was such a handful as a child, I couldn't wait for her to grow up. Not much has changed... and I wouldn't have it any other way.  : )
2. Her: "I'll drive her down if you'll feed the horses." Me: "Deal!"
3. Kroger in Bonsack now carries frozen pizza dough. A staple in the stores up north, I was thrilled to finally find it down here. It comes in a frozen lump and you simply thaw it out and build your own pizzas, calzones, etc. Tonight I made calzones, stuffed with ricotta, mozarella, parmesan, garlic and pepperoni with a marinara sauce on the side for dipping. When we lived in Birmingham, my brother-in-law came from New York to visit. He brought with him a cooler filled with frozen pizza dough packed in dry ice. I am serious about my pizza dough.
*Walmart (Bonsack) carries it too, but you have to go to the deli and ask them to get it from their freezer in the back.

Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go,
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

  1. Wow - she looks like a rodeo performer, standing on that horse.

I'm a Thursday's child - far to go. Oh well - that might be better than being full of woe. :)

They sell pizza dough at the Publix store I go to in my Atlanta suburb. It's usually in the bakery cooler. I have never made pizza - maybe this weekend - you inspire me.

  2. Once again, gorgeous photos, Leonora!

I feel the same way about my 2nd little darling. A handful. But she's mellowing with age (sort of). Oh, what's 13 to bring?!

Sister-in-law sent two frozen deep-dish pizzas from Chicago! What a treat having pizza (or dough!) shipped like that. :)
