A gem, A great bunch of kids, One particularly great kid

1. A surprise I found at the bottom of the washing machine. #3 found it on the ground and pocketed it; now it is my little treasure.
2. Overheard above the din in our basement as the teen youth group enjoys a game night, "I'm happier than a tornado in a trailer park! WeeeeHoo!"
3. I'm awakened just after midnight to #4 climbing into bed with me. Unable to sleep from those kinds of things that trouble fifteen-year-olds, I groggily talk to her and then we doze off. When I wake again, she is gone.

  1. I'm going to use the quote from #2. And #3 is precious.

  2. It that an old fuse?

This is how bad my (congenital) cataract eye has gotten - I read that first as "happier than a TOMATO in a trailer park" and was puzzled. :) Now I get it.

#4 will always be your baby, I think.

  3. Yes! It is an old fuse, about 3/4 inch in diameter. I love the little ruffled glass edges- it reminds me of a glass doorknob.

  4. And I noticed the glass is Pyrex. So interesting.
