1. Having a new-found friend to go exploring with.
2. I slide my hand along the wooden hand rail. It guides me down a wide and elegant staircase at the old courthouse where the Dred Scott slavery case was tried in 1857. I imagine the other hands that have slid along this hand rail.
3. Our sunny, warm weather has turned cold and drizzly. We duck inside for a welcome cup of hot coffee.
