1. Most of the snow has melted away and the earth is soft under foot.
2. Our stockpile of freshly cut oak boards smells wonderful. It has a sharp, woody smell that makes me want to inhale deeply when I walk past.
3. Looking at Google Earth photos of the New England coastline and dreaming of lobster rolls.
