1. Made up the guest beds with fresh linens. Smoothing sheets and plumping comforters in readiness for Christmas visits.
2. Systematically put the house back in order after a long weekend of celebration. Silverware is stored, fall decorations are boxed, tablecloths washed and ironed.
3. The wind kicked up and began to blow the rain clouds away. The breaks of sun revealed a huge sky that had hung low and close just a few hours before.
