1. The hanging geranium on the wall out the back door is still blooming in full splendor. The pink flowers are out of place in an autumn-colored palette, but I enjoy this flash of bright, summery pink.
2. The most beautiful maple tree is the one our friend John planted here the year we built our house. It is just now beginning to tinge with color and it usually turns to the most brilliant red.
3. I wasn't in the mood to bake, but everyone wanted a little something sweet. So, we made Muddy Buddies. Gosh, these silly things are addictive.
Never had a muddy buddy, but sure looks good!
